Marriott International Corp. recently broke ground on a $145 million, 471-room hotel in South Boston's Waterfront District near the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. The Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel is scheduled to open during the fall of 2007. Boston-based Payton Construction is construction manager and general contractor for the project.
