Komatsu America Corp. has introduced the next generation of Komtrax™, the company's remote web-based equipment and fleet monitoring system.
With the latest Komtrax, machine operating information is sent to a secure website for owners to evaluate, allowing them to monitor their machine's functions remotely. Information is provided in a user-friendly format with charts and graphs, as well as search and filter parameters. Multiple search parameters allow owners to quickly find information about specific machines based on factors such as utilization rates, age and various notification messages. Komtrax data can also be downloaded into spreadsheet programs for further analysis or uploaded directly into existing office systems.
The system allows distributors to proactively anticipate machine service and maintenance needs, as well as current and future parts requirements. This can improve distributor response time, allowing them to align manpower, processes and inventories to better support the parts maintenance and service needs of customers and help lower operating costs and decrease downtime.
