Karl Kreutziger named President of Driver SPG

Anaheim-based construction firm focuses on renovation, modernization, and smaller new construction projects.

ANAHEIM, Calif./LOS ANGELES  — C.W. Driver– a premier builder serving California since 1919 – has promoted Karl Kreutziger to president of Driver SPG, the company’s Anaheim, Calif.-based construction affiliate that focuses on renovation, modernization and smaller new construction projects.The 27-year industry veteran will lead project teams in the preconstruction and planning phases as well as oversee client relations in his role as president.

“Since joining Driver SPG, Karl’s role has always been to develop a culture that focuses on delivering the highest quality projects, giving back to the community and building lasting relationships,” said John Thornton, president of C.W. Driver.  “As the driving force behind the company’s unique culture and evolution, Karl’s leadership is an integral part of the company’s success in expanding our services throughout Southern California and giving back to the community in a big way to inspire continued growth.”

During the time Kreutziger acted as executive vice president, Driver SPG won Orange County Register’s Top Workplaces Award in 2012 and 2013, OC Business Journal’s Best Places to Work Award and ENR California’s Top Contractors. In 2013, Driver SPG donated $58,000 to local non-profit organizations, volunteered 281 hours, and donated clothes, backpacks and school supplies. Since its inception three years ago, Driver SPG has emerged as a major player in the Southern California market.

“My first objective has always been to cultivate a unique work environment that emphasizes personal development and involvement in the local community,” said Kreutziger. “As president of Driver SPG, I will continue to inspire our team to not only successfully deliver complex, fast-tracked projects, but also be a part of our community’s growth and development.”

Most recently, Kreutziger has led various projects in the Southern California region including, the State Bar of California headquarters in Los Angeles, Calif.; Chapman University’s Health Sciences Campus in Irvine, Calif.; and the Discovery Science Center Discovery Pavilion in Santa Ana, Calif.

Prior to joining C.W. Driver, Kreutziger led numerous notable projects throughout California, including The Pike at Rainbow Harbor in Long Beach, Calif.; Irvine Spectrum Center in Irvine, Calif.; AAA Corporate Regional Headquarters in Costa Mesa, Calif.; The Midnight Mission in Los Angeles, Calif.; and the Oakland Marriott City Center in Oakland, Calif.

Kreutziger earned a Bachelor of Science in construction management from California State University, Long Beach and is currently a board member of HomeAid Inland Empire. Kreutziger, won the 2014 CREW-OC SPIRE Award for Superior Performance in Philanthropy because of his passion for giving back to the local community and supporting organizations in Orange County that are serving our neighbors in need.
