George Papadopoulos has joined STV as vice president and deputy director of the firm’s Construction Management Division. He will be based in the firm’s Boston office and will report directly to STV’s President Milo E. Riverso, Ph.D., P.E.
Papadopoulos has more than 20 years experience in the construction management and engineering fields, working with local, regional and international clients. His experience includes aviation, higher education, federal, state and local government projects, and private sector work.
Prior to joining STV, he was a vice president and office manager for a consulting firm in Boston that specializes in engineering, construction and technical services. In addition, he served as a senior program manager, providing project management services to the government of Cyprus during the design and construction of the New Larnaca International Airport. He also has worked on such prestigious projects as the Harvard University Science and Culture Program and Massport’s Logan International Airport’s $1 billion Modernization Program.
Papadopoulos earned a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Program Construction Management, from Pennsylvania State University, State College, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA. He was a Fulbright Scholar for both his undergraduate and graduate studies. Papadopoulos is a member of the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) and served as the editor of the New England CMAA newsletter. He is a licensed engineer in England, Cyprus and Greece.
