Developer Millcraft Investments, of Cecil Township, Pa., is working to redevelop a shuttered 265,000-sf Lazarus store space in downtown Pittsburgh into a mix of retail, office, and 47 upscale residential units, a project estimated to cost $49 million. Piatt Place was designed by Pittsburgh's Strada Architects. Dallas-based Turner Construction is providing construction management services. The Pittsburgh offices of Allen & Shariff (MEP/fire protection engineer) and Atlantic Engineering Services (structural engineer) are also on the Building Team. The project began in January with completion expected by June 2007.
