Engineering firm Thornton Tomasetti expands to new office in Fort Lauderdale

(Fort Lauderdale, FL – April 27, 2009) Thornton Tomasetti, the international engineering firm with practices in building structure, building skin and building performance, announced the move of its Fort Lauderdale operations to a new location to accommodate the future growth of the company. The move relocates Thornton Tomasetti to 101 NE 3rd Avenue in Fort Lauderdale, FL.


“Thornton Tomasetti has been a prominent part of Fort Lauderdale’s design community for the past six years and we are thrilled to expand our office,” said Matthew Olender, head of the Thornton Tomasetti Fort Lauderdale office. “We are committed to maintaining a strong presence in the Florida marketplace and the new location is well located and easily accessible from downtown Fort Lauderdale. The space will enable us to better serve our clients, as well as continue to grow our practice in the future.”

Thornton Tomasetti has leased 3,748 square feet of office space at 101 NE 3rd Avenue, in the heart of Fort Lauderdale’s thriving downtown business district. The new space represents a substantial increase from its previous office. Jeff Holding, Senior Vice President of CBRE, represented Thornton Tomasetti in the transaction.
