Danville, Indiana Hospital Expansion

By Staff | August 11, 2010

Danville, IN— Hendricks Regional Health plans to undertake its largest expansion project to date by building a 205,000-square-foot addition to the north end of the Danville hospital. The three-story addition will house six state-of-the-art operating rooms, outpatient services, pre-procedure, and recovery areas on the first floor; 37 private pre- and post-surgery patient rooms on the second floor; a new cafeteria and central sterile area in the basement; plus unfinished space for future expansion on the third floor. The addition will bring the hospital's total square footage to just over 789,000 square feet.

The estimated cost of the project is $60 million. Completion is scheduled for January 2010. Indianapolis-based Wurster Construction will serve as general contractor for the expansion.
