CSI should ally with AIA
Seeing that so many CSI members are architects and a good number of industry members of the CSI will be exhibiting at the [AIA] convention, I suggest that the CSI join with the AIA for a comprehensive national convention.
Your editorial (“CSI at a turning point,” March) was very timely, as this was discussed at our last chapter meeting [District of Columbia Metropolitan Chapter]. Based on the fact that technology is in the forefront of all our endeavors, I suggest that the organization now be known as the Construction Sciences Institute.
I joined the CSI to learn more about building materials and their proper application while becoming proficient in specification writing; to that extent, I suggest that the CSI become the “tech arm” of the AIA.
Seeing that so many CSI members are architects and a good number of industry members of the CSI will be exhibiting at the [AIA] convention, I suggest that the CSI join with the AIA for a comprehensive national convention.
