Jeff Turner
Twenty-one years of continuous service with Batson-Cook, a general contracting firm. Started at age 16 as a co-op receiving college credits. (He’s a Batson-Cook legacy: his father, two uncles, sister, brother-in-law, and cousin have all worked for the company. Once they all worked on the same project: 300 Galleria Building, Atlanta.)
Named controller in 2007. In 2009, charged with overseeing all administrative functions, including marketing, payroll, and HR. Implemented paperless accounting function.
Helped develop collaborative, user-friendly software to increase productivity of business development staff.
Assisted Batson-Cook’s sister company, Kajima USA, in formalizing international financial standards and implementing Timberline accounting software, construction imaging, and internal time-management and project-management solutions.
Past president, West Point Lions Club.
Board of directors, Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce.
Leads Batson-Cook “Empty Stocking” Christmas fundraiser.
Can do a mean “sprinkler” on the dance floor.
Deacon, Crossroads Baptist Church, Acworth, Ga.
