A 25,420-sf, 592-seat sanctuary at The Village Community Presbyterian Church, Rancho Santa Fe, Calif., features a 42-foot dome adjacent to a 45-foot tile-roofed tower. The front courtyard forms the heart of the sanctuary, serving as a gathering point for the church's 1,200 congregants. San Diego firm Domusstudio Architecture's design for the sanctuary employs energy-efficient lighting and HVAC systems. Opening date: April 2010.
