H2M designs versatile fire station for Air National Guard
By Andrew Baltazar, Associate Editor, February 1, 2010A new fire station at Stewart Air National Guard Base near Newburgh, N.Y., provides fire and crash rescue services for the New York Air National Guard's 105th Airlift Wing. The station offers much-needed bunk, living, and training areas for the unit. A/E firm H2M designed a cantilevered Alarm Center with direct views of taxiways, runways, and aircraft parking areas. City offices to up daylight, reduce water use

GSA signs lease for temporary housing during headquarters modernization
November 24, 2009GSA took a major first step in the modernization of its historic headquarters building today with the award of a 288,255 square foot lease to Stonebridge Carras. The building, One Constitution Square, located at 1275 First Street NE, will be used as swing space to house approximately 1,200 GSA employees while their headquarters at 1800 F Street NW undergoes an extensive modernization funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
