Selby joins eight principals in leading the 115-person firm.

Dattner Architects is pleased to announce that Catherine Selby, AIA, LEED AP has been elevated to Principal. In recognition of her tremendous contributions to the firm and her evolving role in the practice, Catherine looks forward to joining the ranks of upper management.

Catherine joins Principals Paul Bauer AIA; Richard Dattner FAIA; Jeff Dugan AIA; Beth Greenberg AIA; Daniel Heuberger AIA, LEED AP; Kirsten Sibilia Assoc. AIA; William Stein FAIA; and John Woelfling AIA, LEED AP in leading the 115-person firm.

Motivated by her passion for socially responsible design, Catherine came to Dattner Architects in 2007, bringing with her a diverse background that, in addition to architecture, included art history, advertising, and sculpture. A talented designer, skilled at executing complex projects, Catherine brings a high level of professionalism to all her endeavors. She continues to work with clients in the academic, supportive housing and healthcare markets, including Columbia University’s Manhattanville Development Group; CAMBA Housing Ventures; New York Presbyterian Hospital, NYU Langone and Winthrop Hospitals, Blythedale Children’s Hospital, and the Community Healthcare Network. Her ability to develop and apply creative and thoughtful design solutions for each project allows her to add value to assignments across multiple sectors.

“Catherine Selby’s sensitivity to each client’s needs and ability to resolve of complex building programs have made her a valued member of our Dattner Architects community. We are proud to now have her as a partner” – expressed founding principal Richard Dattner FAIA. 
In her new role, Catherine will lead projects in Dattner Architects’ Healthcare, Educational, and Housing Studios and continue her role as a mentor within the office.

“I am really excited about the future of our firm—to expand our healthcare practice, to continue to partner with our valued client base, and build upon the design legacy of the past 50+ years,” said Selby.
