The Boston office of Tishman Construction, New York, is leading a six-month, $14 million fast-track renovation of the 117-year-old Copley Square Hotel in Boston. Located in the heart of the historic Back Bay, the hotel is undergoing a major upgrade of its 143 guestrooms and public spaces, including the addition of an elevator and modernization of its major engineering systems.

Interior features will include a new lobby décor with dramatic backlit panels, decorative silver light fixtures, candle niches, metallic-sheen window treatments, and a new casual dining restaurant. The Building Team includes local architect Arrowstreet and interior designer Intra-Spec, Marina Del Rey, Calif.

The newly renovated hotel is expected to open this summer.
