Bentley launches new apps site

Jeff Yoders | March 7, 2011

Last week software manufacturer Bentley Systems launched its iWare Apps site. The site is Bentley’s one-stop location for free iWare Apps for enhanced interoperability and links to free training in their use and in-depth reference documentation. Third party developers can also submit their own apps for inclusion on Bentley.com/iWare.

Bentley, the manufacturer of popular 3D software such as Microstation v81, made the announcement during its first-ever corporate update conference call for journalists.  Bentley reported GAAP revenues of $476 million in 2010, a year-over-year growth rate of 6%. Commenting on the company’s performance, CEO Greg Bentley said, “I am pleased to report that in 2010, the good work of our colleagues, in combination with that of our user community, enabled Bentley to achieve renewed organic growth, to gain market share, and to emerge stronger than ever.”
