China to issue new index on control of industry-use land

BEIJING, Feb. 20 (Xinhua) – China will adopt new index on control of land for construction of industrial facilities in a bid to strengthen management, saving and integrated utilization of land for industry use.

A new index on control of land for construction of industrial facilities is expected to be published and enter into force in short time.

The index covers five parts of investment density, floor area ratio, construction coefficient, proportion of office and service facilities, and green land coverage.

According to the document, the construction coefficient shall be not less than 30 percent. The document bans building of non- production facilities in the areas of industrial projects such as residential building, hotel and training center.
