Suffolk University gets a new residence hall in Boston

J ust six months after extensive renovation work began, Suffolk University officials celebrated the opening of its newest residence hall (above) in downtown Boston. The seven-story, 90,000-sf residence hall occupies two buildings that once housed condominiums. Local contractor Suffolk Construction connected the adjoining buildings and converted 73 units into four- and six-bedroom residences (below) for 274 students. The conversion involved construction of new floor plans, MEP modifications, and new finishes. Designed by CBT Architects, Boston, the facility is targeted to achieve LEED Silver certification.
