LEED Silver library under way at LaGrange (Ga.) CollegeJanuary 1, 2008Building Design and Construction
W est Point, Ga.-based Batson-Cook Construction recently broke ground on the $11 million Frank and Laura Lewis Library at LaGrange (Ga.) College. The three-story, 44,000-sf facility is being designed and built to meet LEED Silver certification. The Building Team, which also includes Partners Development, Knoxville, Tenn., and Perry Dean Rogers Partners, Boston, will reclaim an adjacent parking lot and return it to greenspace, enhance MEP systems to reduce water and energy consumption, and specify non-odorous, low-emitting materials that contain recycled content.
