Quaint 'village' rises in the Las Vegas desert

The $1 billion Sullivan Square is a mixed-use, mixed-income project on 16.5 acres a few miles from the hotels, entertainment, and neon lights of the Las Vegas Strip. Toronto-based Kirkor Architects & Planners is designing and developing the pedestrian-friendly “village” with narrow streets, wide sidewalks, and public plazas. When complete, the project will have 1,380 residential units in four high-rise towers, two mid-rise terraced condominium buildings, one mid-rise loft building, and one low-rise terraced townhouse building. An additional 45,000 sf of retail space and 272,000 sf of office space complete the project. The project is targeting LEED Silver.
