Detroit developer Barden wins Pittsburgh slots project license

PITG Gaming was recently awarded a license to build a 17.5-acre Majestic Star slot machine casino in Pittsburgh's North Shore. PITG CEO Don Barden, a Detroit developer, was awarded the casino license over bids from Isle of Capri Casinos, which pledged to build a $290 million arena in the Hill district neighborhood as part of its proposal, and Forest City Ratner of Cleveland, which proposed a riverfront casino in the city's Station Square entertainment complex.
