T-shaped towers at the center of Steven Holl's design for mixed use in Denmark

New York-based Steven Holl has unveiled his design for a mixed-use residential development in Ørestad, near Copenhagen, Denmark. Called T-Husene, the project will call for the construction of five T-shaped towers that will house 18,000 square meters of residential space atop 12,500 sm of commercial space. The T-shaped buildings maximize high-quality residential floor space with views to the horizon and sunset. Each tower will contain 50 apartments in 22 different configurations, ranging from 73 to 135 sm. The project team will break ground in late 2007.
