Hofstra University breaks ground on graduate residence hall

To help ease its housing crunch, Hofstra University broke ground on a $23 million residential building for law school graduate students. Designed by Hillier Architecture, New York, the five-story, 80,000-sf facility will feature 58 furnished residential suites in two-, three-, and four-bedroom configurations, accommodating 225 students. Amenities include lounge and meeting areas, study rooms, and laundry facilities. Completion: January 2008.
