Tribe to get a community recreation center

Coffman Engineers of Seattle and the Worth Group Architects of Englewood, Colo., are currently working on the design of a 76,000-sf, $19 million community recreation and wellness center for the Kalispel Tribe of Indians in Usk, Wash. The facility includes a fitness center with a full-size gymnasium, a natatorium with a four-lane lap pool, a recreation pool with water-play structures, and another recreation pool with a water slide. The building will also have a medical/dental health clinic, physical therapy area, an adult and child development center, community services facilities, meeting rooms, and office space. Meridian Construction Management of Spokane, Wash., is the construction manager.
