To meet growing demand for professional condos in the Miami area as office rents escalate and employees seek shorter commutes, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Miller Construction began work on Monarch Professional Centre, a 74,000-sf medical and professional condo office complex and retail center located in Miramar, Fla. The mixed-use project includes two, three-story Mediterranean style condo office buildings of 30,000 sf each and a 13,500-sf retail center. The owner and developer is Front Street Development Group. Scheduled completion: 2007.
