Home for 'AustinCity Limits'

A 29-story W Hotel and condominium tower with street-level restaurants, retail space, a 1,000-person recording studio for KLRU's "Austin City Limits," and a 30,000-sf space for the Dell Discovery/ Austin Children's Museum is being planned for the 2nd Street District in Austin, Texas. The city council recently approved the overall plan for the project, which is being developed by Austin-based Stratus Properties. The final design by Andersson-Wise Architects of Austin and BOKA Powell of Dallas is still being completed.

Construction is slated to begin in early 2007, with building completion in 2009.
