Helmut Jahn Tower Planned for Chicago

Ground was recently broken on a $135-million, 41-story luxury condominium tower in Chicago's River North neighborhood. Designed by architect Helmut Jahn, 600 North Fairbanks, with its transparent façade, will have 28 residential floors, 11 floors for parking and mechanical systems, and two floors for a fitness center, conference room, and sundeck. Jahn's firm, Murphy/Jahn, Chicago, is the architect, with local firms Bovis Lend Lease as general contractor and Urban R2 Development and Schatz as developers.
