Clinic Set for Construction at Alabama Hospital Campus

The Simon-Williamson Clinic recently broke ground on a new clinic site in Birmingham, Ala. The 100,000-sf medical office building will be located on the campus of Princeton Baptist Hospital. Specialties offered at the new facility will include internal medicine, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, gastroenterology, urology, neurology, oncology, and ophthalmology. Simon-Williamson Clinic is the largest independent multi-specialty physician group in the state.

The cost for the project, scheduled for completion by 2007, is expected to be $16 million. Birmingham-based Inkana Development is the developer and Brasfield & Gorrie, also of Birmingham, is the general contractor. Gresham Smith & Partners of Nashville, Tenn., is the architect, landscape architect, and civil engineer. Whitaker Rawson is the mechanical engineer and Sajjadieh Engineering Group is the electrical engineer; both are based in Birmingham.
