Ground has been broken on the Mercer Center at Fairmont Princess 101 in Scottsdale, Ariz. The $36 million project includes a build-out of the existing 65,000-sf Mercer Center, an additional 50,000-sf office/retail building, and 10,000 sf for a planned restaurant. The core and shell architect is Allen & Philp of Scottsdale. The Phoenix office of Holder Construction, Atlanta, is the general contractor. Completion is scheduled for late 2006.
