Ivana Trumps Other Vegas Skyscrapers, but not The Donald

Ivana Trump and Australian developer Victor Altomare are developing an 80-story, 923-foot-tall condominium and retail tower on Las Vegas Boulevard, called Ivana Las Vegas. Scheduled to be complete in 2008, the mixed-use tower will be Sin City's second-tallest building, after the Stratosphere. In addition to condos, it will house restaurants, a recording studio, and a spa and health club. JMA Architecture Studios of Las Vegas designed the project, with Turner Construction of Dallas as GC.

Not to be outdone, The Donald unveiled a new condo of his own, in Jersey City. Trump and his partners have announced construction will begin in late 2007 on Trump Plaza: Jersey City, a $415 million condominium project that will include the two tallest residential towers (531,500 sf with 55 stories, and 481,283 sf and 50 stories) in the Garden State. DeWitt Tishman Architects, New York, designed the complex. A general contractor has not yet been named. "This is a high-quality, luxury project, worthy of the Trump name, rising in one of the most exciting places in the country today—Jersey City," said Trump.
