Renovation on docket for Supreme Court

The U.S. Supreme Court Building is undergoing a modernization to upgrade systems that have been in place since the building opened in 1935. The architect for the first phase of the five-year project is Princeton, N.J.-based Hillier, with James G. Davis Construction Corp., Rockville, Md., as GC. Phase I will consist of an underground annex for the Court Police. Phase II, scheduled to begin next summer, will involve modernization of the building's five floors.
