Projects Awarded

Atlanta-based Cooper Carry Architects is architect for a $45 million expansion of the Galleria Mall in Houston. Turner Construction Co. is the general contractor. The project will add 228,000 square feet of retail space and a 2,700-vehicle parking structure.

Sacramento, Calif.-based architect LPA Sacramento is architect for a three-building expansion at Butte Community College in Oroville, Calif. Redwood City, Calif-based DPR Construction is the general contractor. The buildings are scheduled for completion in the fall of 2002.

The team of Cesar Pelli & Associates and Architectural Alliance is the designer of Minneapolis' New Central Library Project. The team will design the 400,000-sq.-ft. library, planned as part of a larger, two-block mixed-use project on the current library site and an adjacent block. The $110 million project will include a state-of-the-art planetarium, a public commons, retail space, a residential tower and parking. Groundbreaking is planned for 2003 with completion in 2006.
