Call the copper

The 85-year-old copper roof of the Cathedral of St. Paul (Minn.), America's fourth largest church, is being reconstructed as part of an entire renovation project. More than 70 tons of copper will be used, and about 167,000 square feet of stone will be cleaned during the restoration. McGough Construction and Miller Dunwiddie Architects of Minneapolis are work together on the $35 million restoration plan, with completion expected in 2003.
