  • JanCom Technologies expands headquarters

    -- Building Design & Construction, 9/3/2009 1:03:00 PM

King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) buildings

JanCom Technologies, Inc., an Austin, Texas-based technology infrastructure, audio-visual and critical power systems consulting and engineering services firm, continues to grow due to an influx of high-profile international projects.

JanCom Technologies recently expanded to a 5,000-square-foot office space at 206 Wild Basin Road. The move represents a 2,000-square-foot increase in space to accommodate the company’s growth.

JanCom Technologies’ growth is due, in large part, to landing numerous international projects, including several United States Embassy buildings overseas and the expansive 7.5-million square foot King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) buildings, as well as its surrounding infrastructure. Over the past year the firm has added three people, and is slated to add several more in coming months, to accommodate growth and support new projects.

“We continue to work on an extremely diverse array of projects. Over the last year, we have been working on numerous international projects. The common thread for all of these projects is a need for thoroughly thought out infrastructure to support their voice, data and audio-visual needs,” said John Jankowski, RCDD, president and founder, JanCom Technologies.

JanCom Technologies has completed technology infrastructure design for new US Embassy projects in fourteen foreign countries, including their most recent projects in Cambodia, Nicaragua, Fiji, and Belize. The company began working on KAUST in early 2008, and is completing the project this fall.

“Leading international organizations continue to look to the U.S. for its construction, design and technological expertise - the King Abdullah University project is a great example of that fact. Our team has been working to ensure the university possesses state-of-the-art infrastructure to support their operations and technology needs as they begin operations, and well into the future as the University grows,” continued Jankowski.

JanCom Technologies bridges a critical gap by designing and planning the technology infrastructure, components and audio-visual framework for leading organizations. The company works with architects, information technology professionals, project managers and facility managers to strategically design and implement a wide-range of technology systems. The company translates clients’ technology-related operational objectives into complete, buildable construction documents. JanCom Technologies, then, assists the construction team in implementing these plans.
