  • Church to Feature World's Largest Electrochromic Window

    Staff -- Building Design & Construction, 8/1/2006 12:00:00 AM

Church at Pinnacle Hills, located in Rogers, Ark., will house the world's largest electronically tintable window, a 6,000-sf electrochromic glass wall. The 60-foot-tall window overlooks the outdoor baptistry, a small lake, and three crosses ranging in height from 145 feet to 175 feet. The 169,700-sf church, currently under construction, is situated on a 28-acre site, and will have seating for 2,400 people. Interior wall colors and flooring patterns will have historical, Biblical meanings. A children's ministry, bookstore/café, and lobby will also be housed in the church.

Future expansion plans include a chapel, activity center, music rehearsal hall, administrative offices, and an additional 1,000 seats. San Diego-based Tucker Sadler Architects is providing full architectural and interior design services for the project.
