With this app from Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies, building occupants can use their smart phones to unlock doors and even pay for meals, laundry, and books on a college campus. Simply launch the app and tap the phase to the reader. Building managers can assign credentials (virtual keys) over the air to any Near Field Communications (NFC)-enabled smart phone. The app works with the company's aptiQ smart-card readers, as well as most Schlage and XceedID readers.
