Atlanta-based hotelier NYLO Hotels is set to break ground on properties in Plano, Texas, and Warwick, R.I., that will incorporate allergy-resistant guestrooms. The 176-room Plano property will feature 44 “pure rooms,” which will incorporate a class 2 medical-grade air purifier, hypoallergenic linens and covers, and special treatments to carpeting, walls, and furniture to minimize contaminants. NYLO offers loft-style rooms for business travelers, with oversized windows to maximize sunlight, exposed-brick-and-polished-concrete walls, and flexible workspace. Special amenities include a public gathering space near the hotel lobby (pictured) with a 24/7 restaurant, bar, library, sofas, business center, wireless Internet, game room, and boutique shop.
