Rooftop solar panels, gray water recycling, lush natural gardens, and abundant daylighting are among the key green features of the Dominican Republic’s latest condo development. The 25-story residential tower, dubbed Las Arenas, will soon sprout along Santo Domingo’s Juan Dolio Beach. Local architect Jorge Mesa is teaming with Spanish landscaper Artur Bossy on the design, which will incorporate an infinity-edge pool, a Jacuzzi with hydromassage, a beach club, and a fully equipped fitness center with views of the beach. The development will offer the gamut of unit types, from one-bedroom lofts ($210,000), two-, three-, and four-bedroom condos, and penthouse suites (up to $2 million).
